Question 4: Cleaning Procedures

Food Preperation tabel: Meat, fruits and milk tabels

Clean with wet cloth, after wiping, spray savlon salution on tabel, then wipe with diffrent dry cloth. We use the savlon salution because its a disinfectant and kills bacteria.

Cleaning milk Bottels:

After use of bottel, rinse bottel under cold running water. Dunk bottels in milton salution for longer than a half an hour, thus disinfecting the bottels completely.

  1. 23/7/2011: A short but clear answer - good. The workbook did ask for "why the various chemicals and equipment are used there, in the concentrations applied". The answer refers to the strength of the various chemicals, the smell, the types of chemicals since they cannot be harmful to animals as it is used in the food prep area. The bottles - at which age are animals at a greater risk of getting sick? And what about the floor in the prep kitchen?
    So - there is a bit more you could add to this answer Laure. Thanks again. Heidi
